¾¨Ó㴫ý's Lifelong Learning Program (LLP) will celebrate National Non-Traditional Students Week Nov. 4-10.
An LLP student is a working adult or anyone 24 years of age or older who has a high school diploma or GED and wishes to pursue an education at the college level. Prospective LLP students are encouraged to visit a class at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, based upon the individual's interests.
The program is an undergraduate study designed for the adult learner. The curriculum includes regular college offerings, with an evening program that provides an opportunity to take accelerated course work. Each evening class is offered on a one-night-a-week basis to accommodate busy work schedules, with day classes also available.
All classes carry full college credit and are taught by ¾¨Ó㴫ý faculty members. Students may be able to receive company reimbursement from their place of employment.
Forty undergraduate majors are available at ¾¨Ó㴫ý. Accounting, business administration, and the liberal studies curriculum-which is the common core for all students-may be completed during evening hours. Three years of course work toward the education, communication studies, English, and public relations majors can also be completed in the evening. Other majors can be finished by combining evening classes with a few day courses. Those with previous college experience may be able to transfer credits.
