More than 100 students from area junior and senior high schools competed in the regional History Day competition at ¾¨Ó㴫ý April 7.
This year's theme, "Conflict and Compromise in History," was portrayed by students in one of nine categories: individual or group exhibits, individual or group performance, individual or group documentary, group or individual Web site, or individual paper.
Those placing first or second in any category advance to the state contest, May 13-14, at Millersville University. State winners advance to the national contest at the University of Maryland June 15-19.
