The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Concert Choir will present the eighth annual "Music and Meatballs" Friday, Oct. 3, at the New Wilmington Presbyterian Church. Patrons may choose from three seating times: 4:30 p.m., 5:45 p.m., and 7 p.m.
This year's musical and decoration theme is "Disney." Dinner includes spaghetti and meatball, salad, bread, dessert, hot and cold beverages, and a variety of music made popular by Disney movies.
Senior music education majors Kevin Shields will be master of ceremonies and Christopher Granger will accompany the singers.
"Forty-nine ¾¨Ó㴫ý students participate in this fundraiser," said Dr. Robin Lind, director of choral activities. "Beth Brooks, a member of the Student Affairs office staff, helps with dishwashing every year. This event helps to support the choir's winter tour, which will include Lynchburg, Va., and a number of locations in Florida. We will be traveling Jan. 7-17."
Tickets are $12 for adults and $7 for seniors, students, and children. Reservations are encouraged and can be made by calling (724) 946-7270. A limited number of tickets will be available at the door and take-outs will also be available.
