Dr. Peter Smith, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of chemistry, was elected to a two-year term as treasurer of the American Chemical Society (ACS) Division of Professional Relations.
Smith, who has been a member of ACS for 11 years, will be responsible for tracking and reporting finances.
Smith has been with ¾¨Ó㴫ý since 2002. He earned an undergraduate degree and Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee.
