¾¨Ó㴫ý will host the Western Pennsylvania Diversity Consortium (WPDC) Friday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Drinko Conference Room of the McKelvey Campus Center.
Jeannette Hubbard, ¾¨Ó㴫ý's director of diversity services, will be the site host for the network of student affairs professionals at western Pennsylvania institutions of higher education who share a common interest in working with students.
Hubbard, a founding member of the consortium that was formed in 2002, explained that the group was established as a support network for professionals at schools with small populations of students of color.
During the monthly meetings, members share methods, ideas, and expertise on ways to address diversity, multiculturalism, and social justice issues.
The consortium also works to share ideas about joint programming activities for students of color and underrepresented groups; empower students and their allies to be an asset to a global society; share resources; and bring students together for leadership.
Contact Hubbard at (724) 946-7179 or e-mail hubbarj@westminster.edu for more information.
