¾¨Ó㴫ý senior English majors will be honored at the final Bleasby Colloquium of the academic year Thursday, April 16, at 7 p.m. in the Witherspoon Maple Room of the McKelvey Campus Center. The event is free and open to the public.
Eight of the 16 students are scheduled to read from the critical or creative sections of their capstone projects, which is the final component of the Liberal Studies curriculum at ¾¨Ó㴫ý. The capstone is a course within the major designed to provide an opportunity for students to evaluate and assess the strengths and limitations of their major field.
This colloquium is part of the George Bleasby Colloquia, a series of literary events presented by ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Department of English and Public Relations in honor of the late Dr. Bleasby, who chaired the Department of English at ¾¨Ó㴫ý from 1954-75.
