¾¨Ó㴫ý will celebrate International Audio Visual Week, Oct. 18-24, with a series of campus events that are free and open to the public.
¾¨Ó㴫ý Director of Audio-Visual Services Gary Swanson explained that the AV industry-once best known for overhead and slide projectors-provides critical support to the business community, educational institutions, government, healthcare organizations, retail outlets, sporting events, entertainment venues, museums, houses of worship, and an increasingly sophisticated residential market. During AV Week, the ¾¨Ó㴫ý AV staff will educate the campus and community on the increasing change in technology and the importance of the AV industry.
"From the classroom to the boardroom to the family room, AV communications is changing the way we view and hear the world," Swanson said. "We applaud our colleagues here and around the globe and will pause during the week to spotlight AV technologies, services, and the impact they have on everyday communications and our lives."
During AV Week, a host of companies and organizations around the world will celebrate with special events at schools, job fairs, and community outreach activities. To learn more about the AV industry, visit www.infocomm.org.
