¾¨Ó㴫ý art professors Krista Birnbaum and Peggy Cox hosted a digital photography workshop for teachers Oct. 24.
The workshop, "Digital Photography: Essentials to Turning Your Pictures into Photographs," was a collaborative effort between ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Perspectives on the Environment Series and Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
Fifteen teachers from nine local elementary, middle, and high schools received instruction and practice on various photographic elements, including composition, line, texture, and color. Teachers took photographs at ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Field Station and edited them on campus, using photo software.
Cox and Birnbaum presented strategies and tips on the proper use and settings on participants' personal digital cameras.
