The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Symphony Orchestra will present its holiday concert Wednesday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.
The program includes Tchaikovsky's "Marche Slave;" Haydn's "Symphony No. 26" ("The Christmas Symphony"); Anderson's "A Christmas Festival;" and Hofeldt's "Lullabye."
¾¨Ó㴫ý faculty participating in the orchestra are Dr. David Cushman, professor and chair of ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Department of Economics and Business, on oboe; and Dr. Daniel Perttu, assistant professor of music, on bassoon.
The orchestra is under the direction of Melinda Crawford Perttu, who joined the ¾¨Ó㴫ý faculty in August. She earned an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and a master's from Ohio State University.
