¾¨Ó㴫ý will host its sixth annual Alternative Gift Market Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on the third floor of the McKelvey Campus Center.
The market is open to the public and is sponsored by ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Young Presbyterian Scholars Program (YPS).
Alternative gift markets are a concept of Alternative Gifts International, a non-profit organization that offers donors the option of donating a variety of tax-deductible gifts that support global humanitarian and environmental causes through carefully selected agencies.
Unique to the ¾¨Ó㴫ý market, which is the third-largest collegiate market in the United States, are the Silk Road Shop, Presbyterian Coffee Project (fair trade coffees and teas), the Western Pennsylvania Table Project (building tables for victims of Hurricane Katrina), and Shoulder to Shoulder Pittsburgh.
Contact Carey Anne Meyer-LaSor, YPS adviser and assistant to the ¾¨Ó㴫ý chaplain, at (724) 946-7365 or e-mail meyerca@westminster.edu for more information about the ¾¨Ó㴫ý market. Visit for additional information about Alternative Gifts International.
