¾¨Ó㴫ý will host the eighth annual New Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Business Expo Saturday, March 13, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in Memorial Field House. The public is invited to attend.
Organized by the Chamber, sponsors of the Expo are First National Bank, The Springfield Group, and ¾¨Ó㴫ý.
Area businesses, including those that are home-based, are encouraged to participate. Spaces are still available and there is time to register before the Feb. 28 deadline.
In addition to a nominal registration fee, each vendor is required to furnish a door prize. Prizes received to date include wedding gown preservation; an MP3 player; a therapy ball and free exercise sessions; portrait sitting and wall print; gift baskets; and assorted jewelry pieces.
New this year will be a $1 donation at the door from all visitors aged 12 and older.
"All proceeds will benefit area charities during a time when overall giving is down," said Anne Bruening, Expo co-chair. "The Chamber will donate the monies to the Crisis Shelter of Lawrence County, People in Need, and City Rescue Mission in New Castle."
