Senior Music Major to Present Organ Recital

Amanda Gentzel, ¾¨Ó㴫ý senior sacred music and computer science major, will present an organ recital Sunday, March 28, at 3 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

The program includes Bach's "Prelude and Fugue in D Major," Mendelssohn's "Sonata III," and Messiaen's "Dieu Parmi Nous."

Gentzel is a daughter of David and Margaret Gentzel of Wexford and a graduate of Pine-Richland High School.

She is a member of the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Wind Ensemble, Mortar Board, Omicron Delta Kappa, Omicron Kappa Sigma, and Pi Sigma Pi honor societies. She is the accompanist for the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Concert Choir and serves as organist at First Methodist Church in Sharon.

Gentzel is a student of Kathryn Davison Miller, ¾¨Ó㴫ý organist, and has studied with Dr. Elizabeth Harrison and Robert Kardasz.
