¾¨Ó㴫ý President Dr. Richard Dorman served on the faculty of the Academy of Academic Administration June 27-July 2 at Penn State.
Dorman's session, "Leadership and Communication," discussed role theory, team building, and various leadership models for new department chairs, deans, and division leaders. A case study was presented to support the content.
The Academy, sponsored by Penn State's Center for the Study of Higher Education, blended a week-long program of seminars and case studies with a year of online education on topical issues relevant to leadership training. Dorman has been invited back to teach at the Academy next summer.
Dorman, who has been with ¾¨Ó㴫ý since 2008, earned an undergraduate degree from Susquehanna University and master's and Ph.D. from The Pennsylvania State University.
