The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Orchestra will present its fall concert Friday, Oct. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.
The program will include: Copland's "An Outdoor Overture," featuring a trumpet solo by junior music education major Andrew Kraus; Sibelius' "Valse Triste;" Brahms' "Hungarian Dances (No. 2 and No. 7);" and Mozart's Symphony No. 36, "Linz Symphony."
Dr. Daniel Perttu, ¾¨Ó㴫ý assistant professor of music, will join the orchestra on bassoon.
The orchestra is under the direction of Melinda Crawford Perttu, who joined the ¾¨Ó㴫ý faculty in 2009. She earned an undergraduate degree from Duquesne University and a master's from Ohio State University.
