¾¨Ó㴫ý's Chapel Drama will present A Year with Frog and Toad Saturday and Sunday, March 26-27, in Wallace Memorial Chapel.Ìý
Both days will feature a matinee at 2 p.m. with an evening performance Sunday at 7 p.m. The performances are open to the public.Ìý A freewill offering will be collected to support ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Campus Ministries.
The music was written by Robert Reale with lyrics by Willie Reale and based on the books by Arnold Lobel.Ìý The performances are presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
The story follows two great friends, the cheerful and popular Frog and the rather grumpy Toad, through four fun-filled seasons.Ìý Waking from hibernation in the spring, they plant gardens, swim, rake leaves, and go sledding.Ìý Along the way they learn life lessons, including a most important one about friendship and rejoicing in the attributes that make each of us different and special.
A Year with Frog and Toad is entirely student produced.Ìý The production crew includes: co-directors Jessica Mriso and Lauren Ritter; assistant to the directors Suzanne Palumbo; pit ensemble conductor Aaron McAfee; choreographer Hannah Jaskiewicz; set design, lights, and sound by Timothy Lane; and stage crew Jeffrey Houser, Robert Maleski, and Lane.
