The ¾¨Ó㴫ý chapter of Sigma Nu fraternity will host SIGMApaNUza Saturday, April 16, at 7 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert, featuring KontraBand Muzik, and a $5,000 donation to the Mario Lemieux Foundation, the fraternity's philanthropy, are the prizes for Sigma Nu winning a national CreateMyTee.com contest in the fall.
The concert is free to ¾¨Ó㴫ý students, staff, and alumni. ¾¨Ó㴫ý students can register for prizes through April 15 in the Tub during dining hours. Non-¾¨Ó㴫ý participants may purchase tickets for $7 in advance, $15 at the door with valid ID, with proceeds benefitting the Mario Lemieux Foundation.
The local Sigma Nu chapter won the all-Sigma Nu national charity competition last fall. The event was sponsored by CreateMyTee.com, an online T-shirt company founded by Sigma Nu alumni from Albion College. ¾¨Ó㴫ý won three mini-contests on the way to the final count of nearly 7,000 votes registered via Facebook.
