¾¨Ó㴫ý's Chapel Office and New Wilmington Ministerium will host a community Thanksgiving worship service featuring pastors from area churches Sunday, Nov. 20, at 7 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. All are welcome to attend.
Guest speaker will be Kevin Green, director of the City Rescue Mission that is celebrating its 100th anniversary of serving people in the New Castle area.Â
Area pastors expected to participate include: the Rev. James Mohr, ¾¨Ó㴫ý chaplain; the Rev. Rob Cypher and the Rev. Mickey Cypher, Victory Christian Center; the Rev. Ralph Hawkins, New Wilmington Presbyterian Church; the Rev. William Stone, Neshannock Presbyterian Church; the Rev. Patti Harbison, New Wilmington United Methodist Church; and the Rev. Rob Kifer, Pulaski United Methodist Church.
Music will be provided by the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Handbell Choir under the direction of Anne Bruening; the Second Chance Praise Team; Kathryn Davison Miller, ¾¨Ó㴫ý organist; and junior theatre and music major Timothy Lane playing "Carillon Evensong."
Lane is a son of Steven and Ellyn Lane of Buffalo, N.Y., and a graduate of Canisius High School.
Those attending are asked to bring canned goods or make monetary donations that will be collected to support the City Rescue Mission and a local food pantry.
A fellowship reception will be held in Old Main immediately following the service.
