Posted on Thursday, December 1, 2011

¾¨Ó㴫ý hosted the Western Pennsylvania Diversity Directors Consortium (WPDDC) for its monthly meeting Nov. 18.

Directors from Clarion, Edinboro, Robert Morris, and Slippery Rock Universities, and Thiel and ¾¨Ó㴫ýs were welcomed by Dr. Neal Edman, vice president for student affairs and dean of students.  ¾¨Ó㴫ý President Dr. Richard Dorman led a discussion of diversity initiatives at the individual campuses.

Also attending was Dawn Chapman, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate director of admissions.

Jeannette Hubbard, ¾¨Ó㴫ý director of diversity services, is a founding member of the consortium that was established in 2002.

WPDDC was created to support minority students and student leaders academically, socially, and culturally.  The group meets monthly at a different host campus to share expertise and plan ways to support, encourage, and empower minority students and educate the broader community about diversity issues.

Hubbard, who has been with ¾¨Ó㴫ý since 2001, earned an undergraduate degree from Geneva College and master's degree from Duquesne University.
