An article written by Dr. Leslie Kealhofer, ¾¨Ó㴫ý visiting assistant professor of French, was published in a recent issue of Studies in French Cinema.
Kealhofer's article, "Veiled Voices in the Films of Yamina Benguigui," examines the treatment of Islam and the Islamic headscarf in films by Benguigui, a contemporary French filmmaker of Algerian descent.
Kealhofer, who joined the ¾¨Ó㴫ý faculty in 2011, earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and master's degree and Ph.D. from Florida State University.
