The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Symphonic Band will present a mid-winter concert Friday, Feb. 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The program is free and open to the public.
Selections include: Lawrence Odom's arrangement of "La Belle Helen (Overture)" by Jacques Offenbach; Alfred Reed's "Symphonic Prelude"; "Bandancing" by Jack Stamp;Â "Amazing Grace" arranged by William Hines and scored by Luis Maldonado; and Gustav Holst's "Second Suite in F Op. 28B."
The band is under the direction of Dr. R. Tad Greig, associate professor and director of bands, who serves as chair of ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Department of Music.Â
