¾¨Ó㴫ý Student Alumni Association to Offer Networking 101

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - "Networking 101," an alumni dessert reception and panel discussion focusing on proper networking techniques, will be offered to ¾¨Ó㴫ý students 7-8 p.m. Thursday, April 3, in the Lakeview Dining Room of the McKelvey Campus Center.

"Now, more than ever, networking is an important way to build connections leading to internships, employee opportunities, and career resources," said Cindy Dafler, ¾¨Ó㴫ý's assistant director of alumni relations and a 2003 ¾¨Ó㴫ý graduate.  "This event, hosted by the Student Alumni Association, is an opportunity for students to learn about successful networking and to begin building their network through connections to alumni."

The panel of ¾¨Ó㴫ý alumni includes:

  • Andrew Anthony `11, senior financial analyst, Physician Services Division, University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC)
  • Chris Borsani `04, attorney, Tucker Arensberg, P.C.
  • Ashley Carnahan Downey `09, assistant marketing manager, Giant Eagle Corporate Office
  • Heather Bullers McKissick `01 M`08, 11th grade English teacher, Shenango School District 

Panelists will be available during dessert to chat with students about their areas of expertise.

The event is being hosted by the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Student Alumni Association, which works to build connections between students and alumni and increase awareness of alumni support of ¾¨Ó㴫ý.
