The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Concert Choir and Chamber Singers will present "Make a Joyful Noise" on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 3 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public.
Under the direction of Dr. Samuel Barbara, ¾¨Ó㴫ý assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, Jennifer Peet and Benjamin Grove are accompanists.
The Concert Choir's program includes selections by Lajos Bardos; Felix Mendelssohn, Antonio Lotti; Laszlo Halmo;, Eriks Esenvalds, featuring Becca Bly ²¹²Ô»åÌýLauren Thayer, soprano soloists ²¹²Ô»åÌýJennifer Peet ;²¹²Ô»åÌýAlexis Musgrove, soprano obbligato; Greg Knauf; Undine S. Moore, featuring Joseph Spurio, tenor, and Mark Hockenberry, baritone; and Eliza Gilkyson/arr. Johnson.                                Â
The Chamber Singers will include selections by Knut Nystedt; Jack Klebanow; Johannes Brahms; Giovanni Palestrina; Herbert Howells, featuring Mark Hockenberry, baritone; Healey Willan; and Stacey V. Gibbs.
Barbara, who began working at ¾¨Ó㴫ý this year, earned his undergraduate and master's degrees from the University of Portland, and his DMA from the University of Southern California.
