Kenneth J. Romig, a 1985 ¾¨Ó㴫ý graduate, has been appointed as Vice President for Finance and Management Services at ¾¨Ó㴫ý.
"I am pleased to announce the appointment of Kenneth J. Romig as vice president for finance and management services effective July 1," ¾¨Ó㴫ý President R. Thomas Williamson said. "Ken will be working with Bill Birkhead, who is retiring after 17 years of outstanding service to the College, on the transition matters beginning May 24."
Romig is currently senior vice president of finance at Sky Bank, a $12 billion bank with offices in five sates and the largest subsidiary of Sky Financial Group, Inc. He earned his CPA certification in 1987. Romig worked as senior auditor for Arthur Anderson & Co. in Pittsburgh, before becoming vice president and controller, then chief financial officer for the First Western Bancorp, Inc.Â
"My enthusiasm for this position is the result of the experiences that I had as a student, my ongoing interactions with ¾¨Ó㴫ý as an alumnus, and as a member of the New Wilmington community," Romig said. "As a resident of New Wilmington for the past 15 years and as a member of the New Wilmington Borough Council for the past 10 years, I am very familiar with the vital role that ¾¨Ó㴫ý plays in enriching the lives of area residents."
Romig resides in New Wilmington with his wife, Kimberly, and their two children, Nicole and Nathan. He is also a member of Jameson Memorial Hospital Board, and a deacon in the New Wilmington Presbyterian Church.
