Patrick Aiken, a 1988 ¾¨Ó㴫ý graduate and native of New Castle, will perform an organ recital Monday, Feb. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.
Aiken is currently the choir master and organist at a number of churches including: Central Congregational Church in Providence, R.I.; St. Mary of the Bay in Warren, R.I.; and the United Brothers Synagogue in Bristol, R.I. After leaving ¾¨Ó㴫ý, he went on to earn a master's from the Manhattan School of Music.
Frequently in demand as an accompanist, he appears regularly with many choral organizations, and has accompanied them on tour in England, Scotland, and Wales. As recitalist, he has performed for three United States Presidents.
This performance includes "Fanfare," by Lemmens, "Prelude in E Flat Major" by Bach, "Moto Ostinato" by Eben; "Naiads" by Vierne, and "Carillon de ¾¨Ó㴫ý" by Vierne.
