¾¨Ó㴫ý Announces Web Master

Jonathan Smith was recently hired as web master at ¾¨Ó㴫ý.

Smith's major responsibilities are: operate campus web server equipment and software; design and implement web pages for the College website in consultation with other campus organizations; oversee user access and security aspects of the web server and website; provide assistance and direction in implementing new Internet applications; and conduct training for end users.

He comes to ¾¨Ó㴫ý from Alcoa, where he was part of the Internet Technology Team, and designed, developed, and maintained alcoa.com web pages.

Smith, a 2002 ¾¨Ó㴫ý graduate who majored in computer information systems, worked as an assistant to the previous ¾¨Ó㴫ý web master during his internship. He also worked at the College help desk, where he provided support for over 2,000 faculty, staff, and students.

"I had a great experience during my first four years at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, and I'm happy to be able to return," Smith said.
