The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Celebrity Series announces the coming of "In the Mood" Wednesday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.
"In the Mood" features the sensational sound of the 15-piece String of Pearls big band orchestra, as well as Mood singers and dancers. This musical review of the 1940s takes the audience back to the up-tempo big band instrumentals, and the intimate, romantic ballads that set the mood for a future filled with promise, hope, and prosperity.
"This was a time when all America was listening and dancing to the same kind of music," said Gene DeCaprio, director of the Celebrity Series at ¾¨Ó㴫ý. "No one should miss this toe-tapping nostalgic music."
