¾¨Ó㴫ý Offers Workshop on Government and the Media

¾¨Ó㴫ý is offering "Government Communications: A Workshop on Dealing with the Media" Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 4 p.m. in the McKelvey Campus Center Theater.

Matthew Mangino, a 1985 ¾¨Ó㴫ý graduate and current Lawrence County district attorney, will moderate a panel discussion on how the media covers government officials.

Members of the panel include Joe Bell, reporter for WKBN-TV; Ed Byers, news assignment director at WYTV-TV; Joan Hemming a 1986 ¾¨Ó㴫ý graduate and reporter for WKST Radio; and Debbie Morris, reporter for the New Castle News.

"This is the first in a series of workshops that Matt offered to moderate this year," said Dr. Deborah Mitchell, assistant professor of English and public relations at ¾¨Ó㴫ý. "The second discussion on community relations will take place in November."
