Navigating the college experience is an important step toward independence on behalf of your student. We encourage you to give your student the opportunity to learn how to problem solve and self-advocate as much as possible. Your student should report building maintenance issues to RA-on-duty. If it is an emergency, your student should make it clear to the RA-on-duty that the issue is urgent and they will contact Public Safety. If it is impossible to reach the RA-on-duty in a timely manner, contact Public Safety at 724-946-7777.

Sodexo is committed to providing healthy and pleasing options for students in both dining venues on campus. The Director of Dining Services, Jim Nescot, works with the Student Government Food Advisory Committee, which would be an effective way for your students to present their suggestions. This committee can be reached by emailing sga@westminster.edu. Mr. Nescot can be reached at nescotjd@westminster.edu.

鲸鱼传媒 offers shuttle service to the Pittsburgh International Airport with subsequent stops to Amtrak, Greyhound, and MegaBus in downtown Pittsburgh. Learn more.
If your student has an urgent medical need after hours or on the weekends, they should consult their Resident Assistants (RAs) or Residence Directors (RDs) for assistance with finding transportation for off-campus care. RAs are on duty from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. daily (weekends included).

Public Safety (724-946-7126 general office or 724-946-6216 director) may be able to offer assistance, but students must contact them 1-2 days in advance to make arrangements. Most often, students will make arrangements with friends, but we will help when those arrangements are not successful.
