NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Dr. Bethany Hicok, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of English, presented her paper "Teaching Bishop from North to South" at the American Literature Association Conference in May in San Francisco.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Jennifer Cidila, CPA and partner at Carbis Walker, LLC, spoke to ¾¨Ó㴫ý senior accounting students as part of the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Professional Speakers Series in March.
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - ¾¨Ó㴫ý alumna Paige Turk `84, human resources director of Flynn's Tire Group, along with local professionals Marcie Patton and Colleen Chamberlain, spoke to ¾¨Ó㴫ý students in February about their experiences in the human resources and organizational development fields.
John Glista, a senior computer information systems and music major at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, will give a piano recital Sunday, May 9, at 3 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.
Glista's program includes Bach's "Prelude in Fague," Schubert's "A Sonata," Gershwin's "Prelude," Debussy's "Prelude," and a waltz by Chopin.
Glista is a son of John and Christina Glista, Cranberry Township, and a graduate of Seneca Valley High School.
Glista began his music career at age six with piano lessons. While in high school, he got involved in several piano competitions including the American College of Musicians' Guild, and received ratings of superior and superior plus. He also accompanied the high school chorus, and received honoral mention honors in the WQED FM Musical Teens Competition.Â
In 1998, Glista was the winner of a camp scholarship competition that paid his way to a summer music camp at Penn State University. In 2000, he became the first winner of the PPTA Music Scholarship, now offered every year to high school seniors who will be studying music in college.

¾¨Ó㴫ý seniors were recently treated to "Dine & Shine," a program designed to provide dinner and information about business etiquette and dress.
"During a lovely sit-down meal, Cary Horvath [professor of communications at Youngstown State University] spoke about The Finesse of Business Dining' such as the importance of not ordering spaghetti or French onion soup or wine at a business meal," said Jackie Meade, director of the Career Center at ¾¨Ó㴫ý. "Michele Czerwinski, the marketing director of the Grove City Outlets and former style show coordinator for Joseph Horne, spoke about fashion appropriate for business, and C.J. Cochran from CJ Cochran Day Spa and Salon spoke about good grooming."
Twenty-two ¾¨Ó㴫ý students modeled fashions from Brooks Brothers, Casual Corner, Haggar Clothing Company, Hush Puppies & Family, Kasper ASL Ltd., Nine West Shoes, Rockport Shoes, and Zales The Diamond Store Outlet.

The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Jazz Ensemble will present its mid-winter concert Friday, Feb. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the McKelvey Campus Center Student Lounge.
Nearly 400 new students are expected to matriculate to ¾¨Ó㴫ý later this month as the private liberal arts college in New Wilmington, Pa. continues to be a popular destination for high-achieving students.
More than 390 ¾¨Ó㴫ý students earned Dean's List recognition for the 2002 fall semester.
The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Student Government Association (SGA) has donated some new furniture for the McGill Library lobby.
"The new furniture is a wonderful addition," said Molly Spinney, associate professor and head librarian at ¾¨Ó㴫ý. "It's very attractive and comfortable, and is already very popular with students."
The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Wind Ensemble presents Masque, a "Celebration of Wind Music," Saturday, Feb. 3, at 7:30 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.
