The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Students Free Enterprise (SIFE) team were recognized with first runner-up honors at SIFE Regional Competition in Cleveland for their accomplishments.

Dr. William Evans, associate professor of education at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, recently co-authored "Computer Assisted Live Supervision in College Counseling Centers," which was published in the fall issue of the Journal of College Counseling.
¾¨Ó㴫ý has recognized the accomplishments of seven local educators with ¾¨Ó㴫ý/News Channel 33 Classroom Hero Awards.
They are:Â Todd S. Cole, first grade teacher at Laurel Elementary in New Castle; John Kraysets, teacher at Campbell Middle School in Campbell, Ohio; Janet Lawrence, second grade teacher at Roosevelt Elementary School in Hubbard, Ohio; Judy Parsons, sixth grade teacher at Canfield Village Middle School in Canfield, Ohio; Martin Persch, fourth grade teacher at Oakview Elementary School in Stoneboro; Frank Rahde, social studies teacher at Lordstown High School in Lordstown, Ohio; and Robert D. Schmid, mathematics teacher in the Mercer Area School District in Mercer.

Eight ¾¨Ó㴫ý students recently attended the Intercollegiate Choral Festival in York where they performed under guest conductor Vijay Singh.
¾¨Ó㴫ý was represented by three faculty members and two students at the Undergraduate Research at the Capitol - Pennsylvania held Oct. 2 in Harrisburg.


The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Symphony Orchestra will present its Classical Series Concert III Sunday, May 4, at 3 p.m. in Orr Auditorium. The concert is free and open to the public.

"Networking 101," an alumni panel discussion focusing on proper networking techniques, will be offered to ¾¨Ó㴫ý students Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 7 p.m. in the Witherspoon Rooms of the McKelvey Campus Center.

¾¨Ó㴫ý oboist Jennie Smith and flutist Erin Thompson will present their senior recital Sunday, Nov. 8, at 3 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel. The concert is free and open to the public.

Dr. Sandra Webster, ¾¨Ó㴫ý professor of psychology, presented at two sessions of the 35th annual international conference on Improving University Teaching July 1-3 in Washington, D.C.

Dr. Phyllis Kitzerow, ¾¨Ó㴫ý professor of sociology, presented research at the Eastern Sociological Society's annual meeting Feb. 25 in Philadelphia.
