¾¨Ó㴫ý announces several personal enrichment and leisure courses to the community. Continuing Education classes and seminars are non-credit and are open to all interested individuals. Formal admission to ¾¨Ó㴫ý is not required.
Total Yoga is scheduled on Mondays, Feb. 4-March 4, at 5:30 p.m., and is taught by Kathy Birkholz. This class will focus on proper breathing form and alignment. Poses provide gentle stretching that acts to lubricate the joints, muscles, ligaments, tendons, and other parts of the body. Stress reduction and meditation are a vital part of these sessions.
¾¨Ó㴫ý continues the "Get Real" life preparation series with "Apartment and House Hunting Tips" March 22 at 12:35 p.m. at McKelvey Campus Center Berlin Club Room.
¾¨Ó㴫ý admissions staff will be visiting local high schools Nov. 12-16.




¾¨Ó㴫ý's Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning hosts students from Campbell (Ohio) Memorial High School at the Bright Futures Performing Arts Program "Going Global: Music, Dance, and Drama Around the World" June 9-20.
The seventh annual New Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Business Expo is set for Saturday, March 14, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. in the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Memorial Field House. The event is free and open to the public.
¾¨Ó㴫ý's Office of Diversity Services and Peace Studies Program will sponsor the fifth annual International Festival Wednesday, Dec. 2, 5-8 p.m. in the Berlin Lounge of the McKelvey Campus Center.
Five ¾¨Ó㴫ý students earned master of education degrees over the summer.

Dr. John Robertson, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of biology, will host the biology-themed Natural Selection viewing Thursday, April 14, at 7 p.m. in ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Planetarium (Hoyt Science Resources Center room 116).



Any careful observer walking the Lucile Frey Nature Trail this winter might be impressed with our earliest "spring flowering plant" now making its appearance in the wetlands. It is the somewhat-foul-smelling skunk cabbage, Symplocarpus foetidus, a member of the Arum family that also includes the Jack-in-the-Pulpit.
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Dr. Michael Bowen, ¾¨Ó㴫ý assistant professor of history, was awarded two grants allowing the opportunity to do archival research throughout the country. Additionally, his review of a book detailing the history of the Republican Party was published in one of the flagship journals for his field.
