Mary Reed, 1928 graduate of ¾¨Ó㴫ý, got an unusual surprise at her 100th birthday party.
The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Concert Choir and Madrigal Singers will perform at several churches in Pennsylvania and New York during January break.
¾¨Ó㴫ý will host an old-fashioned Independence Day celebration with a free concert and fireworks, Wednesday, July 3, at 7:30 p.m. at Brittain Lake.

Xire Jiancuo, a Tibetan student, will speak at ¾¨Ó㴫ý Thursday, Oct. 19, at 4:15 p.m. in the Berlin Student Lounge located in the McKelvey Campus Center.
Two of the four teams of students representing ¾¨Ó㴫ý in the international Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM) were designated as "meritorious."

Dr. David Cushman, ¾¨Ó㴫ý professor of economics and chair of the Economics and Business Department, was a presenter at the Southern Economic Association conference held Nov. 18-21 in New Orleans.
Sara Ergen, a ¾¨Ó㴫ý sophomore public relations major, received a $10,000 scholarship, payable over four years, from the George and Dorothy Knedler Scholarship Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation.
Dr. Mandy Medvin, ¾¨Ó㴫ý professor of psychology, presented two posters at the biennial meeting of the Society for Research in Child Development April 1-5 in Denver.


Twenty-three ¾¨Ó㴫ý elementary education majors participated in the 21st National African American Read-In Feb. 24 at Farrell Elementary School.
¾¨Ó㴫ý's Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning has launched the AmeriCorps Community Fellows program that will address community needs in college access and success and engage college students as active citizens.
