Keith Summerville, a 1995 ¾¨Ó㴫ý environmental science graduate, will present his research findings at a biology colloquium Thursday, Nov. 29, at 5 p.m. in Phillips Lecture Hall located in the Hoyt Science Resources Center of ¾¨Ó㴫ý.

Dr. Cary W. Horvath, assistant professor of communication studies, recently finished an instructor's manual for the textbook, The Interpersonal Communication Book.

Dean Wilson, music teacher at Boardman Elementary School, recently brought his fourth grade music class to ¾¨Ó㴫ý to give a concert to ¾¨Ó㴫ý students.
"They came via yellow school bus," said Dr. Grover Pitman, professor and chair of music at ¾¨Ó㴫ý. "After a walking tour of the campus and a pizza dinner, they changed into their concert attire of white shirts and blue jeans and performed a 75-minute concert for our students in the band room."

¾¨Ó㴫ý will recognize the sacrifices made by U.S. military service personnel in Operation Enduring Freed and Operation Iraqi Freedom by creating the ¾¨Ó㴫ý Patriots' Scholarship Program.

D. Scott (Scooter) Renninger Jr., ¾¨Ó㴫ý chair and associate professor of physical education, head tennis coach, and interfraternity council advisor, recently received the Floyd W. Field Award for Outstanding Greek Affairs Professionals, a national award given by the Grand Chapter of Theta Chi fraternity.

Elizabeth Hines, ¾¨Ó㴫ý director of alumni planning and programming, was named director of ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning Program, effective March 1.

Denny Wolfe, a 1997 ¾¨Ó㴫ý graduate and three-time National Sports Emmy Award winner for his work at ESPN, earned ¾¨Ó㴫ý's 2008 Outstanding and Dedicated AV Media Support Services Award.
Alex Scull, a ¾¨Ó㴫ý sophomore political science major, was awarded Sigma Phi Epsilon's Buzz Ridl Scholarship for exemplifying the fraternity's three cardinal principles of virtue, diligence, and brotherly love.
¾¨Ó㴫ý's Planetarium will debut a new 360-degree dome projector at the spring show beginning March 25 and continuing for several dates in April.
¾¨Ó㴫ý's Sigma Nu fraternity proved David can beat Goliath with a little help from classmates and friends. The victory in the nationwide contest results in a $5,000 donation to the Mario Lemieux Foundation, the fraternity's philanthropy, and a spring SIGMApaNUza concert on campus.
