¾¨Ó㴫ý faculty and students will soon gain access to live coverage of state government activities and events through an agreement between New Wilmington Borough Cable and the Pennsylvania Cable Network.
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. -- The Rev. William James Maloney, ¾¨Ó㴫ý director of church relations, died at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was 54.
A Witness to the Resurrection service will be held at 2 p.m., Jan. 25, 2003, in Wallace Memorial Chapel of ¾¨Ó㴫ý, New Wilmington, with the Rev. Dr. Kenneth E. Bailey as preacher. A private family service was held in Riverview Cemetery, West Millgrove, Ohio.
¾¨Ó㴫ý looks to defend its title when it hosts the sixth annual East Central Colleges (ECC) Mathematics Competition Saturday, March 29 at 10 a.m., at the Hoyt Science Resources Center.
The competition includes teams of three or four students from all nine ECC colleges: Bethany, Heidelberg, Hiram, Marietta, Mount Union, Muskingum, Otterbein, West Virginia Wesleyan, and ¾¨Ó㴫ý. ¾¨Ó㴫ý took first place last year.
Eight students were awarded Master of Education degrees at ¾¨Ó㴫ý in December.
The 2007 Iris Film Festival honored a short documentary produced and directed by ¾¨Ó㴫ý students with a runner up finish.
¾¨Ó㴫ý recently hosted a reception for 45 students selected for inclusion in the latest edition of Who's Who among American Colleges and Universities.

Dr. Russell Martin, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of history, was invited to help lead the Historical Readings graduate seminar Jan. 20 at the University of Pittsburgh.
¾¨Ó㴫ý senior chemistry major Gavin Buckholtz received an Undergraduate Research Grant from ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Drinko Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning.
Eleven ¾¨Ó㴫ý students were awarded master of education degrees at Commencement exercises May 22.
¾¨Ó㴫ý's Department of Music presented "An Evening of Instrumental Chamber Music" March 8.
