Dr. Andrea K. Grove, assistant professor of political science at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, will speak at Faculty Forum Wednesday, Nov. 20, at 11:30 a.m. in Patterson Hall room 311.

Susan Shafer, artist in residence at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, will give a recital Sunday, Feb. 3, at 3 p.m. in Orr Auditorium.
Shafer is one of the leading Mezzo-Contraltos singing today. She is active performing operas with well-known companies and collegues, singing as soloist with world famous orchestras, and giving recitals of literature often neglected.
¾¨Ó㴫ý offers a variety of both day and evening summer classes. Varied start dates from May 21 through July 23 allows students to take advantage of the many courses available.

The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Women's Chorus and Women's Chamber Ensemble will participate in a Women's Choral Festival Nov. 4 at 3 p.m. at the University of Pittsburgh.
¾¨Ó㴫ý chemistry and biochemistry majors in Advanced Lab class participated in a service learning project with ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Preschool Lab.

¾¨Ó㴫ý continues the spring semester sessions of its "Get Real!" life preparation series Thursday, March 5, with "Seven Habits of Highly Effective People" presented by Rob Jackson, CEO of Grove City Community Hospital and member of ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Board of Trustees.
The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Chamber Singers and Dr. Robin Lind, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of music and director of choral activities, participated in the Ohio Music Educators District V Chamber Choir Festival Nov. 9 at Lakeview High School in Cortland, Ohio.

Dr. Colleen Burke, ¾¨Ó㴫ý assistant professor of communication studies, presented a research paper at the International Conference on New Directions in the Humanities June 29-July 2 at the University of California, Los Angeles.


The ¾¨Ó㴫ý chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon mathematics honor society inducted 13 new members at a dinner and ceremony March 10.



Dr. Jeffrey C. Dick, professor of geology at Youngstown State University, presented an informational lecture Dec. 6 in the Nature Center. The topic was "Hydraulic Fracturing or Shale Gas Development" in our area. The audience was a mix of college and community.
