Dr. R. Tad Greig, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of music and director of bands, was selected to present two sessions at the South Carolina Music Educators state conference in February.
¾¨Ó㴫ý's Peace Studies program will host the national tour of Invisible Children Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 7 p.m. in the Witherspoon Rooms of the McKelvey Campus Center. The event is free and open to the public.

Dr. Russell Martin, ¾¨Ó㴫ý associate professor of history, presented a paper at the Contemporary Problems in Archeography conference May 25-27 at the Russian Academy of Sciences in St. Petersburg, Russia.
Ten ¾¨Ó㴫ý students and their band director participated in the 64th annual Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Band March 4-6 at Juniata College.

¾¨Ó㴫ý's Department of Mathematics and Computer Science offered a series of orientation workshops for incoming mathematics and computer science majors.
NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Aaron Walters, a neuroscience major who graduated from ¾¨Ó㴫ý in May, published his senior thesis project in the Journal of Student Research.

NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - ¾¨Ó㴫ý sophomore history majors Taylor Brooks and Krystina Rothhaar presented "Women's History Month in a ¾¨Ó㴫ý Context" at the Wilmington Township Civic League meeting in March.
The five-member ¾¨Ó㴫ý business team earned honorable mention honors in the annual Business Plan Challenge sponsored by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA), and Michael Ranella, a senior accounting major from Greensburg, was awarded an Outstanding Senior Award.
"This year's competition had us research the financial management, marketing and company goals of the trucking industry," said Meredith Kerner, a junior accounting major from Greensburg and team member. "The top five teams went to Philadelphia to complete the competition. We had four hours to fix the problem they gave us and rework the plan and financial statements."
Other team members include: Amanda Moore, Sara Noel, Casie Howes, and Daniela DiRupo.
 "This was my first year for this competition, but I will definately do it again," Kerner said. "Even though it was about a 40-hour project, it helped me apply what I learned in a classroom to a real world experience. It was a valuable experience, and I think it will help me in the future."

¾¨Ó㴫ý is hosting its 15th annual "Lil' Sibs Weekend" Friday-Sunday, March 11-13. The event allows ¾¨Ó㴫ý students to share their college experience with younger siblings, cousins, or friends.
Registration, picture buttons, games, and face painting kick off the "Luau" weekend on Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the Club Room of the McKelvey Campus Center. Students and siblings then have the opportunity to attend ¾¨Ó㴫ý's Dance Theatre production in Orr Auditorium or enjoy showings of "Finding Neverland" and "The Passion of the Christ" in the Mueller Theater. Alpha Phi Omega will hold a Retro Dance from 9-11 p.m. in the McKelvey Club Room. From 11 p.m.-2a.m., students and siblings will be able to attend Titan's Tavern, also in the Club Room, where they will enjoy free refreshments, a dart tournament, and karaoke.
Saturday activities begin at 10 a.m. with the Panhellenic Easter Egg Hunt in the quad and the Alpha Phi Omega story hour in the McKelvey Campus Center at 11 a.m. Afternoon activities provide the opportunity to cheer on the ¾¨Ó㴫ý baseball team at a home game, attend a swim party, or participate in the High School Luau. Following dinner in the dining hall, participants again have the opportunity to view movies in the Mueller Theater and to attend the Rockin' for the Troops Concert in the Club Room. Evening activities continue with Night Owl Bowling from 10 p.m.-1 a.m.
Activities conclude on Sunday with Easter Vespers in the chapel at 7 p.m.
