Twenty-four ¾¨Ó㴫ý music education and music performance majors recently performed at the Festival of Song.
The performance was the culmination of the voice master class, and included a singing repertoire from both classical and Broadway genres.

Dr. Kirk Lunnen, assistant professor of psychology at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, will present "Patients are from Mars, Psychotherapists are from Venus: Everything You Did or Didn't Want to Know About Psychotherapy" Wednesday, March 2, at 11:45 a.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater located in the McKelvey Campus Center.
"I'll be discussing the history of psychotherapy, contemporary studies of psychotherapy outcome, and psychotherapy research conducted by ¾¨Ó㴫ý students," Lunnen said.
Lunnen, who has been with ¾¨Ó㴫ý since 2002, earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University and his master's and Ph.D. from Ohio University.
Faculty forum, established in 1990, serves as a venue for the exchange of ideas and information among ¾¨Ó㴫ý faculty.Ìý Speakers present their research, teaching ideas, lectures, performances, special programs, and uses of technology to keep faculty informed about the work of colleagues from many disciplines.

Dr. William Evans, associate professor of education and coordinator of the Counselor Education Graduate Program at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, recently presented his research at the Association of Counselor Education and Supervision national conference in Pittsburgh.
"I made several presentations about my ongoing research and collaboration with professors from California State University at Fresno, Temple University, and Youngstown State University," Evans said. "The first was a poster presentation, 'Enhancing Live Clinical Supervision Through the Use of an Audio Track Overlay Package,' where we provided an overview of an analog and digital technology recording process that clinical supervisors may use in providing live supervision for counselor trainees. This process represents a marriage of good clinical supervision with the latest technology, and I'm currently conducting research to further determine the efficiency and effectiveness of this approach."
Evans's second presentation, "Dynamics of Cultural Bias and Discrimination in Public Schools: Creative Solutions for Change," was a review of research conducted on cultural bias and discrimination from student, teacher, and administrator perspectives.
"The last presentation was a facilitated roundtable discussion among professors of counselor education regarding differing values and beliefs held by individuals from differing socioeconomic classes and the curricular implications for programs preparing clinical and school counseling professionals," Evans said.
Evans, who has been with ¾¨Ó㴫ý since 2001, earned his undergraduate degree from The Pennsylvania State University, his master's from Youngstown State University, and his Ph.D. from Kent State University.

Dr. R. Tad Greig, assistant professor of music and director of bands at ¾¨Ó㴫ý, earned his Ph.D. in music education from Kent State University in December.
¾¨Ó㴫ý enjoyed its most successful fundraising year in history with gifts totaling nearly $10.6 million. The amount shattered the old record by almost $5 million.
Ten ¾¨Ó㴫ý students will spend the spring semester studying in France, Spain, and Pittsburgh.

The ¾¨Ó㴫ý Gospel Choir will perform Friday, April 11, at 7 p.m. in Wallace Memorial Chapel.
Under the direction of Gordon and Leslie Austin, the choir will perform "Worthy Oh Lord," "Joy Like a River," "Celebrate," and others.

Bradley Weaver, ¾¨Ó㴫ý instructor of broadcast communications, will discuss the "The Story Behind a TV Commercial: How Theory Became Reality in BC410" at Faculty Forum Wednesday, Jan. 24, at 11:40 a.m. in the Sebastian Mueller Theater in the McKelvey Campus Center.

¾¨Ó㴫ý is one of the pioneers in helping consumers find information about selecting the ideal college through its participation in the University and College Accountability Network (U-CAN).
More than 100 students from area junior and senior high schools competed in the regional History Day competition at ¾¨Ó㴫ý April 7.
